Overview

Master Halco, one of the nation's largest wholesale distributors of fencing products, seeks an experienced Superintendent.  The Superintendent will direct the filling of orders, receiving of material from vendors and restock, loading and scheduling of delivery route trucks, gate production, maintenance and housekeeping, safety program, and supervise employees.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of yard and warehouse associates to manage all daily operations duties including material receiving, picking, packing and shipping.
    • Team size varies from 2-15 depending on location.
    • Hiring and training.
      • Works along side the team as needed.
  • Responsible for training and ensuring the team is fulfilling orders accurately and timely.
  • Must be customer service focused.
  • Maintain a clean, efficient and safe work environment and facility.
  • Inventory management and accuracy.
  • Oversees light production in the form of pipe cutting and welding.
  • Work with Branch Manager and sales staff to ensure customer needs are met.

Qualifications

1.) Minimum of 2 years experience as Supervisor of operational duties.

2.) Working knowledge of warehouse/yard/delivery operations.

3.) Demonstrated leadership abilities, positive mental attitude, sense of urgency, strong customer service orientation.

4.) Demonstrated ability to communicate well, orally and written in English.

5.) Willingness and ability to pursue higher education and continuous improvement.

Computer skills.
