Master Halco, one of the nation's largest wholesale distributors of fencing products, seeks a Gate Fabricator. The Gate Fabricator will use hand tools and simple machines to assemble chain link wire and metal fittings to a pre-prepared gate frame, including cutting wire, bending and other pipe preparation.
1.) Uses verbal or written instruction from work order, collects materials to assemble gates including fittings, bolts, clips, hinges, etc., and cuts wire to correct length.
2.) Assembles gate parts to frame (wire, fittings) using hand tools such as pliers, pneumatic guns, etc., and does so in an efficient and timely manner so as to meet or exceed the standard labor hours.
3.) Adjusts wire tension by adding or removing diamonds.
4.) Performs visual inspection on completed gate for wire defects, poor welding or galvanizing and applies rust coating as required.
5.) May cut, bend, notch or swedge pipes and apply scrolls to gates.
6.) Keeps own and adjacent work area clean.
7.) Performs related and incidental work assignments, as required. Can supervise.
1.) Physically able to lift 50 lbs. regularly.
