Overview

Master Halco, North America’s leading manufacturer/distributor of fencing and perimeter security products is seeking an experienced Drafter to prepare and update technical drawings, models, assemblies, implement verbal and markup designs from engineers and manage product data management software.

Responsibilities

  • Create layouts, models and drawings using company defined design specifications and fabrication methods.
  • Adherence to generally accepted drafting standards, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
  • Provide support for engineers updating, creating and editing designs changes.
  • Adhere to company standards for documentation control.
  • Hands-on experience with CAD drafting utilizing Autodesk AutoCAD
  • Hands-on experience with Solid Modeling using Autodesk Inventor.
  • Perform Autodesk Vault administrator duties by managing Vault properties, reports, engineering change orders, PDF generation, material libraries, and file structures.
  • Support the creation of part numbers – final product and sub-component build up.
  • Create technical drawings and manufacturing schematics of mechanical equipment designs, using measurements, specifications, and additional data from engineering team.
  • Contribute to product improvements, standardizations, and departmental improvement projects in a team-based environment.
  • Learn new technologies as necessary for expanding work base.
  • Keep up with latest CAD software changes.
  • Ensure final designs comply with regulations and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Solid mathematical skills
  • BS in Engineering, Architecture or degree from a technical college
  • 3 or more years of Autodesk AutoCAD & Inventor design experience.
  • Must be self-motivated and work with minimal supervision.

Very detail oriented, ability to meet deadlines, excellent time management skill, ability to work well in a team, and self-directive.
