Master Halco, one of the nation's largest wholesale distributors of fencing products is seeking a PVC Fabricator.  The PVC Farbricator will perform a wide range of PVC fabrication, including cutting, routing, and the assembly of fence panels and gates.

Responsibilities

  • Using verbal or written instruction from sales orders/MO’s, locates material from stock in warehouse or yard and transports it to the PVC Shop. Gathers and arranges various PVC material to be staged for routing or assembly. Verifies lengths for routing fence panels and gates with tape measure.
  • Routes PVC material using a computerized PVC Router while also using a notcher, saw, and tape measure to achieve desired outcome.
  • Entering formulas/dimensions into a computer to get the desired outcome with the PVC Router. Basic math skills will also be used.
  • Lays out PVC material on table and then assembles material into a fence panel or gate. Using, but not limited to, a drill, mallet, pencil, screws, notcher, and level, saw, tape measure, and clamps.
  • Packages PVC Material for transportation. This includes, pulling such material, along with shrink wrapping the material properly with a heat gun to prevent any damage to the material in shipment.
  • Maintains PVC Router by cleaning up, oiling machine properly as preventative maintenance, changing bits accordingly, and any other maintenance necessary.
  • Inspects completed fabricated items for proper specifications using tape measure and square.
  • Performs routine, routing/cutting assignments to repair, construct.
  • May perform miscellaneous duties depending upon size of the branch including loading/unloading trucks, filling customer orders, and/or related and incidental work assignments as directed/required.
  • Will operate other machinery such as forklifts.
  • May be required to go to job sites and make adjustments on completed fabricated items for customers who are having problems with installation due to damage during shipping on fabrication.
  • Keep own and adjacent work area clean.

Qualifications

  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED); or work equivalent experience.
  • 1- 3 years of related experience and/or training, with PVC Router and PVC Gate Building; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to work independently and lift/move materials up to 50 lbs. without assistance; over that with a teammate.
  • Must be able to work around heat and chemicals.
  • Must be able to comprehend simple instructions.
  • General computer skills.
  • Must have the ability to effectively present information one-on-one and in small group situation to customers, clients, and other employees of our organization.
