Overview

Master Halco: Fence & Deck Supply, North America’s leading manufacturer/distributor of fence and deck products is seeking an experienced Facilities Project Manager to facilitate the company’s long term growth goals for opening new branches and branch expansion in both new and under-served markets.

 

Position Summary:
The Facilities Project Manager (FPM) works with HQ departments, regional and branch management as well as external contractors, and city and county departments for new construction, remodel, or repair/improvement of branches within the company.

The FPM will oversee various construction projects from initiation to completion and will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing all aspects of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

The FPM is a position of influence and a stakeholder for facility development and repair while supporting the safety guidelines for facilities and construction and in alignment with the company’s standards, policies, and goals.

Responsibilities

Leadership
• Guide the branch and regional leaders through the construction process and be a resource and role model
• Identify facility improvement projects and support technological advancements where applicable
• Oversee and maintain a database for maintenance, repair, and safety items for all company facilities

 

Operational Accountabilities
• Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
• Scheduling: Create and maintain detailed construction schedules, ensuring all milestones are met
• Budget Management: Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost-effective use of resources
• Team Coordination: Assign tasks to contractors and subcontractors and oversee their work to ensure compliance with project specifications
• Vendor Management: Work with vendors to procure necessary materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery and quality
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including obtaining necessary permits
• Quality Control: Conduct site inspections to ensure work meets quality standards and project specifications
• Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to address them
• Communication: Support clear and effective communication with all stakeholders, including internal and external team members, and senior management
• Reporting: Provide regular project updates and report to senior management
• Act as a safety contributor for the company, ensuring that safety standards and goals are adhered to through the construction process and identifying safety concerns related to facilities while at the branches
• Ensure that proper SOPs and Company policies are followed
• Travel regularly to branches within the region to carry out job duties
• Special projects as assigned by the Property Development Manager

Required Education and Experience
• Bachelor's degree in facilities management, project management, or related field
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in construction or project management
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and regulations
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Excellent Computer Skills: Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint), ERP system experience
• Proficiency in project management software and tools

 

Physical Demands
This job requires the ability to sit, climb, stand, lift and/or move.

Must be able to travel to fulfill duties.
