Overview

The Deck Superstore, is a one-stop shop with everything in stock for deck projects including decking, railing, framing, foundation, hardware, lights, and architectural lumber.

 

Position Summary:

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) is responsible for assisting and growing revenue through sales efforts while working with the customer support team to address customer needs in a timely manner.  The SDR conducts sales calls and meet with customers to discuss product offerings, answer questions, and negotiate terms to close deals.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Effectively use and manage online system to manage leads, track sales activities, and generate reports for sales performance analysis
• Identify and qualify potential customers through proactive outreach, market research, and collaboration with the production and operations team
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions
• Manage assigned accounts in efforts to meet or exceed sales targets
• Effectively communicate the value proposition of the product or service to potential customers through presentations, demonstrations, and other sales materials
• Develop a deep understanding of product line, staying informed about industry trends, regulations, and competitive offerings
• Maintain and show awareness of sales by product and account to recognize trends or to gather information that could be used for promotions or targeted sales efforts
• Performs related work assignments as directed

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree preferred and/or equivalent knowledge through job related experience and training
• Demonstrated inside sales experience

 

Required Skills/Abilities:
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both verbal and written
• Energetic, organized (great time management) and able to manage a wide range of priorities
• Strong customer service skills

 


Work Environment: General warehouse, showroom and/or office.

Physical Demands: This job requires the ability to sit, climb, stand, and lift and/or move.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position Monday through Friday; some overtime may be required.
